 The name "Daniele" derives from the Hebrew Dany'el and it's composed of the words Dan, meaning "judged" and El, the abbreviated form of the expression "Eolhim", "God", and the meaning of Daniele can be translated into "God He has so judged".

Legend has it that the prophet Daniel came to Babylon where he assumed important posts as minister of the King, but earned him the antipathy of the powerful who threw him into the cage of lions, from miracle he emerged miracolously safe.
